If the age rating was lower than 15+ this would restrict us and would make the film less scary, there are not many 12+ horror films as there isn't much you can put in there for a 12 year old to watch as the BBOFC makes sure a certain age rating is permitted to access and watch the film.
Planning : Target Audience and Potential Openings
The target audience our film is aiming for is an age rating of 15+, this is because it wouldn't be suitable for those under that age as it has much gore and dangerous weapons involved. Our opening 2 minutes of the horror film we are creating will be based in an underground bunker involving a religion of some sort, particularly catholicism. Our potential opening involves only two actors/ characters but will not involve any dialogue as we have researched it won't go down well with the camera we have to film the opening two minutes with.
