During this task me and my group brainstormed loads and loads of ideas for a company name, we didn't want it to sound too much but we eventually came out with one which we all like as a group, we called our company ' Dimension Productions ' This is because it gives a mystic feel towards what we will produce. We are an ultra low budget horror film making company which aims at an audience particular aimed at 15 age rating. Below is a mind map of us brainstorming ideas for our company name.
Task 2:
In this task as a group we combined our minds and created a brainstorm of ideas about what our horror film should be about and what it should or might involve, below will show a picture of our A3 sheet of paper with our initial ideas on if cannot read enlarge picture. We were planning for the full film not just the trailer, the idea is that we think of a plot of the film but then we break it down into a trailer. In the picture you see ideas such as ' Psychopath ' and ' Bad guy main character', as a group we brainstormed loads of ideas to make sure that we choose the right elements so we can make this horror film look scary, uncomfortable and intend to build up a suspenseful atmosphere.
Task 3:
We had some decision making with the initial ideas and our company name, we plan to have a psychopath involved where he is also a bad guy, with our company name we ended up with Dimension Productions which sounds professional and quite mystic, we didn't want to sound too comedic especially for the horror film we plan to create. The working title we are planning on going with for the film is ' Alec ' This is because it's quite a weird and powerful name, it's very short and has one word which will signify to the audience that there is something wrong with Alec as it only has his name on the front. We want to use horror conventions however we also want to not use common ones and create unique
and special ones as our horror film will be very much different from others. 'Alec' In greek means 'Defender of Man'
