I created this video to show off my skills and research I did about 1960s horror, and how it developed into something massive and is still one of the greatest genres of this time. Massive films were released and produced a lot of money which Hollywood delved into and create billions of Dollars.

I applaud you for presenting your research into 1960s horror films in the form of a short video Sam. However, the amount of research evidenced here is very limited! You have also failed to pay close attention to detail in relation to your literacy skills in the presentation - you have used the word 'increasly' at one point and also show a lack of proficiency in your use of punctuation and grammar.
ReplyDeleteHow many sources did you use for you research? Can you explain to me the process you went through in researching this period of horror film history? I think you were more concerned with producing a video than with undertaking proficient levels of research.
I understand fully, and I do agree that the research is very limited, I also agree that I did focus on the video more which was quite a stupid action from me. I actually used IMDB to get information off films, but there just wasn't enough so I know what to do for next time. I asked various people to watch the video to spot anything but I wasn't informed and that's fully my fault and it won't happen again. I do agree with your comment and I believe I can do better than that.
DeleteThanks for your honesty Sam. I think that you have a lot of enthusiasm for this subject and a genuine interest in media related topics. Remember, however, that this is not a subject where you can get away with using an approach which places more importance on 'style' than 'substance'.
DeleteTry to develop your understanding and knowledge of horror films by undertaking your own independent reading around the subject. A clear understanding of the codes and conventions of horror films will help to inform your own planning.
